The term “swallowtail” is used for the first VW golf, built with a unique body line between the taillights.
Today we will talk about that particular line that separates the common Mk1 from the extremely rare Mk1. A feature of our Mk1 not known by many, but that certainly adds value to our vehicle.
The first Golf distinguish themselves by their distinctive back panels, which are submerged down the plate. The lucky bearers of this line are the models released in 1975, and the first ones of 1976.
Undoubtedly, one more detail to drive collectors crazy, because we know that when something is “special edition”, it becomes something of much more value.
